UHMWPE sheets

The engineering plastic UHMWPE sheet can be machined into virtually anything, from small gears and bearings boards to huge wear guides that until recently were only possible with metals. It not only outperforms metal in abrasion applications, it’s also easier to machine and therefore cheaper. UHMWPE sheet has an exceptionally low coefficient of friction which offers superb sliding properties and is one of the best materials for wear and abrasion resistance. UHMWPE Sheet is tough even at low temperatures, it offers low weight, and is easy to weld. This versatile plastic board can be milled, planed, sawed and drilled to create a huge variety of parts at a very competitive price.

UHMW sheet 4×8 has the characteristics of self-lubrication, extremely low moisture absorption, non-toxicity, anti-static and flame retardant, which can reduce friction and the loss of products and machines. It can be produced according to customer’s requirements, with a variety of colors and sizes to choose from. The characteristics of UHMWPE ensure that this plastic material is very light and strong. In addition, UHMWPE sheet has high impact resistance, good corrosion resistance and very stable chemical properties. It can withstand various corrosive media and organic solvents within a certain range of temperature and humidity.

Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene sheet (UHMWPE or UHMW) is a sheet made of thermoplastic polyethylene chemical material, which usually has a high molecular weight of over 1.5 million. UHMWPE board has incredible wear resistance. Its wear resistance almost exceeds that of any engineering plastics, and it may be one of the best materials for lining chutes and hoppers of sand, aggregate and concrete or any other high-wear mobile products.
Another important feature is that its friction coefficient is very low. UHMWPE plastic sheet will produce parts with long life and low resistance, which means that few things will stick to it. It can also resist many dilute acids, solvents and detergents. UHMWPE board is very tough and has high impact strength in any thermoplastic currently manufactured.

UHMWPE board description
This natural UHMWPE 1000 board is used where sliding abrasion occurs or where metal parts meet, causing friction or abrasion wear. It is excellent for chute and hopper liners, convey or components, wear pads, machine guides, impact surface and guide rails.
